‘Hunt’ – Arran Gregory’s stunning Plaskolite acrylic mirror sculptures
Inplas Fabrications recently worked with artist Arran Gregory to help create the stunning leopard sculptures for his recent solo exhibition 'HUNT' at London's iconic Truman Brewery.
Each of the 20 life-sized leopards has been painstakingly designed by Arran using a unique geometric pattern and handmade in his London studio.
Such a design required precision cutting and approved Perspex fabricators Inplas were chosen to work with Arran. Plaskolite acrylic silver mirror was chosen due to its protective laser cuttable film and durable surface. Each bespoke piece was then individually laser cut to the required accuracy.
Found in the Russian Far East and northern borders of China, the Amur Leopard is the world’s most endangered big cat.
It is estimated that few more than 60 remain in the wild. For Arran Gregory's recent solo exhibition 'HUNT' at London's iconic Truman Brewery, the artist created a life-sized installation depicting a third of those remaining in the wild.
