Doors Open at Zone Creations
Royal Warrant holders Zone Creations opened their doors to current and future clients earlier this month, offering visitors the opportunity to tour their southwest London factory. Guests were invited to witness first hand their state of the art fabrication equipment, skilled staff, and view some of their stunning completed projects – many using Perspex® acrylic.
Recognised as approved Perspex fabricators, Zone Creations have a long history of pushing the boundaries of design and manufacturing using Perspex® acrylic, and their open day created a workflow around the full factory enabling visitors to experience the scope of workmanship capabilities within their team. Large machinery for laser cutting, CNC routing, engraving and vacuum forming were busy providing live demonstrations of their capability to offer both mass production and intricate bespoke creativity.
In a digital age, it was refreshing to see skilled craftspeople working by hand and creating imaginative designs using clay modelling, paint colour matching and hand polishing Perspex® acrylic block. The busy day brought together clients and their skilled fabricators, undoubtedly proving further inspiration for all.
A gallery was set up to show a selection of completed projects across a host of sectors – retail brand point of sale, interior design, sculptures and furniture. Zone were also able to showcase two projects commissioned for the Royal Household using clear Perspex® acrylic with precise fabrication – the Greenwich Regulator Grandfather clock and the Table Measure.
