An introduction to Floreeda Fabrications
We will manufacture anything out of acrylic – from a one-off panel to thousands of display units that are distributed across Europe according to a customer’s own design; we’re also happy to create designs from a brief.
We are very proud of the state-of-the-art equipment that we’ve invested in, which allows us to offer a wide range of processes including: laser cutting and etching, raster engraving, digital printing, line and radius bending, forming, diamond and flame polishing, fabrication, routing and blow moulding.
Team Floreeda are renowned for quality, reliability and we will do exactly what we say we will do.
20|30 Vision from Floreeda Fabrications
Innovative fabricators Floreeda have taken the view that this year the show must go on, and have celebrated their 30th birthday by building a huge retail concept stand in their Manchester workshop. Originally planned to be unveiled at London’s VM & Display Show, which was cancelled due to Covid-19, they opted to build the stand within their large workshop as the modular stand was all but completed for the show. The concept could act as inspiration for their customer base of retailers and specifiers to enjoy over lockdown even when they couldn’t see it in person.
20|30 Vision marks 2020 being the 30th year of the business.
Floreeda’s futuristic pop-up shop design has been gradually unveiled on Floreeda’s social media channels. A bold shop window concept involving an illuminated floating vinyl turntable started the reveal. Looking inside, there is something for all retail sectors with a beauty lab, footwear wall, apparel wall and accessories section.
Speaking to Floreeda MD, Paul Jones “We were due to exhibit at the VM & Display Show and celebrate our 30th Birthday by doubling the size of our stand and had this amazing concept ready to go.
As lockdown set in, we thought, why not build the stand anyway and document the progress online to help keep innovation going through these difficult times. Luckily, we moved into new premises last year and have an Innovation Zone where we display previous concepts for visiting customers.
Floreeda’s mantra is ‘Create, Innovate, Fabricate’ and that is exactly what we are showcasing with our 20|30 Vision. We thrive on playing with light, we even have a crazy idea of edge illuminated clothing that you put on to get your photo taken in the shop window.”
Engaging dramatic crisp LED illumination alongside bold use of minimalist and classic coloured Perspex® acrylic, the pop up store shows a striking glimpse of future design trends.

Floreeda help wrap up Christmas at Selfridges
Selfridges & Co has once again turned to retail POS specialists Floreeda Fabrications to create eye-catching festive displays showcasing their Christmas gifts and party fashion from some of their most recognisable brands in stores across the country.
A spectacular gold Mini has been decorated with a roof rack full of transparent blue Perspex® acrylic presents within the Birmingham Bullring store. The Manchester based fabricators also stamped their festive fabrication closer to home with displays in both Manchester Trafford Centre and Manchester Exchange Square stores. Using yuletide blues and Perspex® reds including blue gloss 7703 and sapphire blue frost S2 7T28, the Perspex® acrylic specialists at Floreeda used line bending and drape forming to construct the intricate bows and wrapping on the signature displays.
Work by Floreeda is becoming a common sight for Christmas visitors to their home city of Manchester, following a previous commission for Manchester’s Hilton Hotel Winter Wonderland afternoon tea events.
Long standing holders of the Perspex® approved fabricator certification, Floreeda continue to produce outstanding retail displays seen across leading high street stores. For more information visit www.floreeda.com.
Pretty in Honolulu Pink
High-end retail display specialists Floreeda Fabrications continued their creative relationship with Selfridges & Co when recently producing these attention-grabbing displays for Saint Laurent shoes.
Choosing 5mm Perspex® Vario Honolulu Pink, the striking edge and joints fluoresce brightly under the store lights to grab the attention of shoppers scanning the display. As with all six colours in the range, as the angle of vision shifts, the change in edge colour gives an even greater depth to this intrinsically exotic Perspex® Vario tint.
As with all Perspex® Distribution approved fabricators, Floreeda have an intrinsic knowledge of our Perspex® acrylic range making them an ideal for partner for stores or brands looking to bring their projects to life.

The ultimate garden hideaway
This year’s RHS Tatton Flower Show will feature a first – an exhibit that hopes to remain invisible! Perspex Distribution approved fabricators Floreeda Fabrications have been working with Manchester School of Art to clad a garden shed in Plaskolite Mirror sheets.
'The Invisibility Tardis Shed of Navel Contemplation' is a Manchester School of Art entry in the 'Garden Hideaways' project (aka 'Pimp My Shed'!). The challenge is to transform a plain garden shed into an amazing hideaway.
The original design was thought up by Manchester School of Art Outreach Manager, Clare Knox Bentham, and uses Plaskolite acrylic mirror from Perspex Distribution to reflects its surrounding environment.
Clare said: “It’s certainly not the sort of thing you would expect in the middle of a garden show. An invisible shed make it the perfect secret place to escape the world.”
Paul Jones, Director of Floreeda adds “We really enjoy producing work for Manchester Metropolitan University’s School of Art and their students. We are used to being asked to create the weird and wonderful and this project was no exception”.
The ‘invisible shed’ scooped the top prize in the ‘Shed of the Year’ competition at the show.
The RHS Tatton Flower Show takes place between 22nd – 26th July 2015.

Floreeda ‘Work It’ at Selfridges
Bespoke acrylic specialists Floreeda Fabrications Ltd have once again demonstrated their creative manufacturing skills and eye for design after being awarded a project to create eye catching acrylic airplanes for famous department store Selfridges, made out of both Perspex® Acrylic and Plaskolite Mirror.
With a combination of laser cutting and line bending, the airplanes took shape within their factory in Stockport. Perspex® Fluorescent Acid Green acrylic was used to create the eye-catching displays alongside mannequins both in windows and on major plinths in store. Silver Plaskolite Mirror was used to create a unique ceiling display casting reflections across the shop floor.
The project formed part of Selfridges campaign called ‘Work It!’. As part of their campaign, they have decided to help out the time-poor professional women - and men - by offering complimentary express treatments from 12noon until 3pm every Thursday - all to turn lunch breaks into 'beauty experiences’.
Floreeda continue to produce outstanding acrylic items for retail point of sales and shopfitting projects – more of which can be seen on their website and blog. Visit www.floreeda.com to contact them about your next project.
Floreeda Fabrications lighting up a new housing development
Perspex® frost tiles have been used by Stockport based fabricators Floreeda fabrications to add a splash of colour to a new housing development in Brighton. The Perspex® tiles are used to help illuminate and decorate the 4 entrance atriums within the 95 apartment development. The project was one of multiple installations designed by Stig Evans.
Over 80 tiles were created showcasing the range of vivid colours and pastel shades available within the Perspex Frost range. Woven into the walls alongside a contemporary slate design, chilli frost, aurora violet, sapphire blue and azure blue colours were chosen for the LED illuminated panels to create the dramatic entrance.
Much time was spent prototyping the design to ensure each tile emitted an even illumination without hotspots or banding. This was made even more challenging with each tile only allowing a depth of 26mm from the Perspex to the LED lighting. Flexible LEDs from Perspex Distribution were chosen as they offer continuity of colour along the entire length of the strip, also the 3M™ double sided tape on all strips aided the complex build and install within the confined spaces.
Traditionally known for their speciality manufacturing within the retail point of sale and display sector, Floreeda have recently invested heavily into the company with additional state of the art machinery ensuring that all fabrication is done in house.
The Perspex approved fabricators now boast that over 95% of their business is bespoke and their expertise attracts a diverse customer base from small local projects to working alongside large building contractors.
