Swordfish Works decorate London in Palight PVC Foam colours.

Exhibition & Display Stands

With many Christmas projects getting underway for 2018, we take a look back at a sparkling central London display by Swordfish Works for clients Tatty Devine’s “Wintertime Trees” project.

The “Wintertime Trees” display at the Southbank Centre boasted 14 glitzy Christmas trees, each based around one of Tatty Devine’s iconic jewellery items; Lobster, Pegasus, Gin, La Luna, Sweets, Dental Bling and Stars. The trees also featured giant charms that are based on aspects of their jewellery such as giant red Swarovski crystals, iridescent bubbles and also the Festival of Britain emblem designed by Abram Games.

Tasked with creating replica jewellery pieces, Swordfish chose to use our range of Palight PVC Foam colours, offering a durable but lightweight solution for the decorations.   In total 1208 decorations for “Wintertime Trees” were produced, with 50 sheets of Palight being CNC machined into the recognisable Tatty Devine designs.   The boards were also finished in glitter vinyl.

Using a wide range of Palight PVC Foam colours including Grey, Green, Black, Red and White, Swordfish were able to match foam colours to their designs for maximum impact.

Working with a two-week lead time to complete the project after sampling, the Swordfish CNC machine was cutting non-stop to complete the designs in time for the launch.

Tatty Devine is the go-to brand for playful, original, Perspex® acrylic jewellery pieces and their work can now be seen in large department stores such as John Lewis and Selfridges.

With 6 cutting machines on site, Swordfish Works are able to provide laser and CNC cutting to London’s’ creative community and further afield.  To find out more about Swordfish Works and how they can help with your next project visit their site at www.swordfishworks.com.
